Interior Painting
At Paint & Fix, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive painting services. We don’t just slap on a coat of paint and call it a day; we go the extra mile to ensure that your walls, ceilings, and doors look stunning and stay that way for years to come.
Our services include wallpaper removal, interior preparation, plaster and gib repairs as well as painting. We take the time to prepare every surface properly. This includes removing flaking paint and filling in cracks, so that our high-quality finishes last as long as possible. We also pay close attention to details like architraves and skirting boards to ensure a flawless result. Trust us to transform your space into something truly beautiful.
Preparation
Preparing a surface properly before painting the walls in your house is crucial for several reasons. It helps the paint adhere better to the surface, resulting in a more even and durable finish. Proper preparation also ensures that any existing damage, such as cracks or flaking paint, is addressed and fixed before painting. This prevents further damage and ensures a smooth and flawless final result. Preparing the surface can also help to prevent issues such as peeling, blistering, and chipping of the paint over time. Ultimately, taking the time to properly prepare the surface before painting can save time, money, and frustration in the long run, and help to ensure that your walls look beautiful for years to come. That’s where Paint and Fix come in.
Our preparation includes a thorough analysis of the surface to paint. Gib board, stained wood, and fibrous require different base coats, so it is key to get this right for a superior finish. Paint and fix clean all surfaces, fix any existing damages, and mask and cover up windows, carpet, plugs, and fixtures to protect your property.
Paint
Do you have a colour in mind? Or is your room a blank canvas waiting for a bit of inspiration? Cassie is our decor and colour expert, and can help you to choose colours and finishes that compliment your existing decor, or even help with a whole-room makeover. A painted feature wall is a great option – Paint and Fix love a limewash or French wash feature wall. Check out our decor page to find out more.
Different surfaces require different techniques, so Brent will decide on brush, roller or spray to ensure the best finish is achieved.
Finish
Once our painting is completed, we carefully inspect our work and the surroundings before removing all masking and drop sheets, and helping to move furniture back into place.
Paint and Fix use a vacuum sander to ensure minimal dust, and use low-odour paint wherever possible. We advise our clients to open windows and doors to ventilate the area and while the paint continues to cure.
